I’ve been lurking on this forum for a while and finally decided to share my experience. I work as a data analyst for an international company, fully remote for the last few years. Once my work became location-independent, staying in the same country stopped making much sense, so I started looking for a place where I’d actually enjoy everyday life.
Barcelona came up almost by accident. I visited for a couple of weeks to test the waters and ended up extending my stay. The city felt livable, not just tourist-friendly, and it was easy to keep a normal work routine. At first I rented, but after a year I realized I was thinking long term.
When I seriously started looking to buy, I found https://barcelona.realestate/. What I appreciated was how clearly everything was laid out — neighborhoods, pricing, and properties that actually made sense for living, not just short-term rentals. I eventually bought an apartment in a quieter area, good for focusing during the day but still well connected.
