For most of my career, my work as a wildlife biologist was tied to grants, paperwork, and short field trips that never felt long enough. I studied ecosystems, but rarely lived inside one. Over time, that disconnect started to bother me.

Thailand offered something different. The country’s biodiversity, national parks, and conservation projects were exactly what I’d been looking for. After deciding to relocate long-term, I searched for a quiet place near nature and found a small house close to Khao Sok through https://thailand-real.estate/.

Now, my days are split between field research, collaboration with local conservation groups, and data analysis done remotely. I wake up to jungle sounds instead of traffic. Living here has made my work feel real again — not just theoretical, but deeply connected to everyday life.
