Volunteers provide the vital support needed for Arizona Citizens for the Arts. There are several different projects, events, and programs to volunteer for. Whether it’s selling advocacy memberships, providing support during special events, participating in a community event, or assisting in the office, Arizona Citizens for the Arts relies on the strength of the community to insure its prosperity. Your contribution of time and talent supports our mission to promote public dialogue, create awareness, and ensure the prosperity of the arts in Arizona. Arts Congress
Once a year, at the beginning of the legislative session, Arizona Citizens for the Arts hosts Arts Congress with the help of Arizona Commission on the Arts. During this event, advocates gather from around the state to talk to the legislators in support of the arts. At this event we need several volunteers to be: Legislative Liaisons, District Captains, Arts Congress Ambassadors, and Stage Hands for set up and take down. Arts Congress is typically held in February.
Governor’s Arts Awards
Each year, Arizona Citizens for the Arts hosts with the Governor’s office and Arizona Commission on the Arts the Governor’s Arts Awards. At this dinner, the Governor presents an artist, individual, business, community, and educational institution with an award for their outstanding commitment to Arizona arts. At this dinner we will need volunteers for: set up and take down/clean up; registration; raffle, and ushers. Governor’s Arts Awards is typically held every year in April.
Community Projects
Arizona Citizens Action for the Arts assists with various community projects throughout the year. Volunteer support may range from passing out organization information to assisting in the promotion of the project.
Office Assistance
This position assists with light clerical work such as making phone calls, entering data, research, and other various office jobs.
