Arts Education Advocacy Outreach

rts Education Advocacy Outreach is a program of Arizona Citizens for the Arts. The program has 2 main goals:

1. To generate awareness about Arts Education in the state of Arizona and about the State Academic Standards for Arts Education.
2. To recruit volunteers and train speakers and arts education advocates.
What can we do for you, your school, you community center, your community of faith?

The AEAO program provides trainings to parents, teachers, students, administrators and the community in relation to arts education in Arizona’s K-12 schools. Our trainings include:
• How to be an Advocate for Arts Education
• Civic engagement: How you and your community can make a difference
• Speaking about Arts Education: How to tell your story and advocate for Arts Education

If your organization, neighborhood, community of faith or school is interested in participating in an Advocacy training please contact us at artsed@azcitizensforthearts.org or 602-253-6535.

Arts Education is a significant part of every child’s education and its importance is outline in the Arizona Academic Standards. It’s our goal at AzCA/AA to build support for arts education in school districts around Arizona at the Governing Board level.
